Farm Updates

CurbSide Croft’s 2010 season is going swimmingly. Approximately a month into the selling season, we’ve seen lettuces and daikon seed pods come and go. Now onto meatier options, squash, beets and radishes.

Last year’s annual Buffalo Garden Walk was very successful for CurbSide Croft bringing many new and familiar faces to the farm. The 2010 Garden Walk takes place July 24 & 25 from 10 AM – 4 PM each day. Please stop by the farm for a tour and fresh veggies. New this year a shade shelter which also serves as a vehicle for rain collection and a leaf mold project.

Come down to meet the hardworking folks behind this innovative vision and get a real sense for how CurbSide Croft fits into this vibrant West Side neighborhood.

After a very successful inaugural season, CurbSide Croft is officially closed until 2010. In its first year, CurbSide Croft provided over 1000 pounds of fresh produce to the neighborhood and the greater Western New York Community.

The 2010 season will see an expansion of the current offerings in addition to experimenting with new crops and soil amendments.

Over the past year many individuals and groups have provided invaluable guidance and support. CurbSide Croft would not be the thriving urban farm it is without them. A special thank you to:
